Accessibility audits of towns in Coromandel

Towns in the Coromandel region may have a more accessible future following accessibility audits of Coromandel town, Whitianga, Tairua, Pauanui and Whangamata.

The audits followed a pilot audit of Thames, and were funded by the Think Differently campaign which was run by the Ministry of Social Development. They were carried out by the Thames Coromandel District Council and CCS Disability Action. The audits included public meetings and visits to all of the towns.
