Our vision – where to from here
The Strategy’s VisionNew Zealand is a non-disabling society – a place where disabled people have an equal opportunity to achieve their goals and aspirations, and all of New Zealand works together to make this happen.
A note on terms:
Non-disabling is about removing the barriers in society that disable people with impairments. We consider this to be stronger and more meaningful than ‘enabling’, which will only help disabled people get around barriers rather than remove them completely.
